Conferce Quick Reference

Welcome to the Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy Nurses (CAET) Annual Conference Site. The CAET Conference offers leading edge education in the areas of wound, ostomy and continence care to Enterostomal Therapy Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses/Registered Practical Nurses, Physicians, Residents, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Chiropodists and others with an interest in wound, ostomy or continence care. Across the continuum of care, we are connected through the involvement of our patients. Through our individual commitment to a collaborative approach to patient care, we can strive towards not only management of complex cases, but also preventative healthcare in all three domains.

The National Conference Planning committee has designed the CAET National Conference with the participants needs in mind. A diverse faculty of subject matter experts are carefully selected to share their expertise through plenary sessions, smaller break out sessions, hands on workshops and through poster presentations. Evidence based practice is the foundation of the CAET National Conference and research is gaining momentum in this area.

The ambiance at the CAET Conference is warm, friendly and exciting with a strong sense of camaraderie and networking. It is a place where you will renew old acquaintances and also reach out and introduce yourself to someone new. You can take the time to ask subject matter experts questions to enhance your learning experience. You will even find that you are sharing your own expertise with people.

Have a wonderful learning experience at the 31st Annual CAET Conference in Vancouver at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, May 24-27, 2012. By having you as part of the CAET learning experience, we are moving towards better patient outcomes.
